A Mother’s ruin is inevitable - bringing to mind the loss at the heart of motherhood - the cruel severance of a blissful union from which we never quite recover and to which we dream of returning. A primal betrayal that lingers as melancholy, angst, and fury. The scars never fade. Then if we are Mothers in turn we are caught between our own mourning and the burning guilt of enforcing separation.
